Bans on interracial marriage were about separating and keeping the races apart and based on the Brown v. Board decision, segregation of classes of people is another form of discrimination. When we lifted up the bans, it not only integrated the races but the sexes which is what marriage has always been about: Integration for procreation and rearing of kids. So unless you think integration is another form of discrimination like segregation as well, then its not the same thing.

Being against interracial marriage is bad because you're keeping a white and black person from being together. However, if you are for interracial marriage, blacks and whites can get together, as well as blacks and blacks, as well as white and whites.

Being against gay marriage is keeping men from each other and women from each other. However, if you are for gay marriage, men can get together, women can get together, and men and women get together.

So isn't it the exact same thing then?

This video is right. Up here in Canada, as soon as they legalized gay marriage, all straight marriages were annulled. Then society collapsed. Now we just live in the ruins of our formerly glorious cities, fighting post-apocalyptic biker gangs and trying to stave off the cannibals. Don't let this fate come to your nation!

in no way do we in society accept behaviors as one in the same with the individual's desire to live out that behavior. According to your logic, we should and are suppose to accept pedophilia, polygamy (bisexuals), adulterers, alcoholics, and kleptomaniacs. so unlike women, blacks, and the handicap who cannot completely change their skin or physical attribute along with it being primarily based on OUTWARD appearance, gays have freewill and can change their lifestyle

@kenballer00 ken, you just simply (like any opponent of sam sex marriage) don't make any sense. so you could be born gay you say, but you choose to have same sex partners? of course we all choose who we have sex with! but if someone is born gay they can't choose to have sex with the opposite gender, it'd be uncomfortable and awful. you being born straight shouldn't be forced to have sex with the same sex, why should they 'change their lifestlye' when you wouldn't?
