Presidential candidate Newt Gingrich on Thursday said he'll tell the NAACP that blacks should demand paychecks and not be satisfied with food stamps."third of recipients in the food stamp program.

Newt Gringrich has got to be joking? African Americans aren't exclusively receiving food stamps. Poverty has no color. It would be quite hilarious to see Newt going to the NAACP and chastizing them about black people! Instead of spewing racist banter, this so-called intellectual should read statistical data on food stamp recipients in the United States. If he dead he wouldn't be speaking such nonsense.

Possibly this is a ploy to manipulate people such as yourself. I would not say the comment was innocent but nothing, I mean nothing, he said was "racist" and he didn't stereotype blacks because he preceded it with "Americans" with the same stereotype.

Absolutely disagree with you. Newt is and always has been a racist.He has never helped put anybody to work or have any intentions of doing that. No one should have to say blacks want to work just like any other race. Should it also be noted that there are more white people on food stamps that blacks. Wake up...those days are still here. Racism is still here, subtle but still alive. Why would Gingrich say black kids should work for free as a janitor at schools to gain a work ethic. Instead he should have said poor people should work for free as janitors at schools to instill a work ethic in them.
