Interesting how to toss in a small trap further into the game like that.

this is pretty sweet, I have a few books and references but they don't explain almost anything about this! just Bd3 dxe4, if that. thanks!!

Perhaps I wasn't clear (or more likely, I'm just too much of a beginner to understand). at 4:48 my opponent (white) move Bxb6 (check)instead of Nxe5. Pawn b6 is forced right (crippling pawn structure)? He then moved Nxe5. I brought out my Queen and ended up in material but crippled on the queenside. Wondering if there's a smarter move... Thanks for all ur help!! This vid rocks!!

@olski666 That variation should be great for you, objectively. Yes there is a positional imbalance, but there are lots of those in chess. 4...Nxe4 5.Nxe4 d5 6.Bb5 dxe4 7.Bxc6+?! bxc6 8.Nxe5 Qg5 and now what does White do?
If 9.Nxc6 or 9.d4, then just 9...Qxg2 10.Rg1 Bh3 wins the exchange. 9.f4 looks like an interesting response at first (9...Qxf4? 10.d4!) yet Black gets an enormous advantage with just 9...Qxg2 10.Rf1 f6.

Same question at 5:20. What if instead of the stellar pawn move, white move Bxc6? Doesn't that force the cripple pawn structure?

@olski666 It is not as challenging for Black to get an advantage if White doesn't try to maintain this pin. After bxc6 Black is hitting the g2 pawn and the e5 knight. If Nxc6 (or d4) just ..Qxg2 with a followup like ..Bh3 or ..Bg4. Inflicting a bad pawn structure on your opponent is nice, but not if it loses tactically.

At 4:48 what if Bxc6?

@olski666 Bxc6+ bxc6 Nxe5 Qg5 with a Black advantage. See my response to your other question.
