God of War - more skips & tricks

I: An improvement to the Gates of Athens cyclops fight, especially considering that you have no regen magic at this point.

II: A fast way of getting up this ledge. Note: going by the normal route to the corpse-person is the best way IMO - the loading trigger for the next cutscene is at the middle of the path where you'd have to backtrack, and after doing a high jump and **** you've already wasted too much time.

III: A glitch makes two of those strange things appear at once, enabling you to get a free lift with a bit of damage. This is very easy to do.

IV: A new technique for the ropes with which you can do magic and hasten things up.

V: Just showcasing a game freeze. Never happened before at this menu. You can hear the solemn music glitch in the background...

VI: High jump saves the day here. Don't know if this was known before or not...

VII: Skipping most of this annoying platforming section with a customized high jump.

VIII: Taking Kevbew63's skip further and skipping half of this ladder with it as well.

how do you do a high jump in gow1?? there are plenty of vids for it on here for gow2 but not gow1!!!!!

It's pretty simple. The basic high jump is just doing ascension ('triangle' held down), then at the top doing Poseidon's Rage, then doing a normal air 'square' attack and then jumping.

It's done just like on the video. Swim towards the metal grating, and I think you have to be at the bottom of the corridor for it to work.

I think it's amazing you guys go around the game looking for glitches. You guys should be game testers. What I'd like to know is how did you manage to realize these tricks especially with using the jump and magic combo to raise you up even higher. And how is it that your magic doesn't ever seem to run out? You guys have got too much time on your hands LMAO and fast fingers! Awesome. I thought I was a good gamer but you guys blow me out the box!

Thanks. The collision over her face is somewhat tricky to hit, but it's not overexceedingly hard if you manage to get to a correct height.

You mean regen magic? You just have to escape the section in which you are supposed to stonefreeze a certain amount of minotaurs. If you need video guidance, at least an user called kevbew63 has a video of it. For the jump itself, do a lauching move so that Kratos gets in air (like holding 'triangle'). Then do Poseidon's rage, then do a normal air 'square' attack and then jump again - all in very quick succession. Two jumps should be enough to let you leave the room early.

@BigHeadAQ They shouldn't be game testers. If they were theyd find useful glitches in good games like this and would have to tell the game makers according to their job description.
