@peanutbuttercutiepie i'll add that he does have an up and running twitter feed and continues to make work as such, which would suggest to me that he has not been cnvinced by some docters there is some wrong with what he does, hence been 'cured' of it or whatever.
It's quite possible though you just wrote this to be a senasionalist, knowing you'd get a response, because i can find no obvious indications of this being true at all. Whats your source?

i looked it up cuz i was curious. David Firth is the creator of salad fingers. David Firth started on a 10th episode but went mentally insane and was hauled off to a hospital. it turns out that "salad fingers" as well as some of his other mentally ill characters were based upon his own dreams and fantasies, the main charactor acted as he did in the dream.

i have to feel bad for salad fingers i mean he lives in a desert with a beetle, he has no friends, and keeps having dreams of what he would wish happen and still he is optimistic, and even though he killed a kid in episode 2 and had someone killed in some other episode he has had no education what so ever. Meaning he doesn't know right from wrong and he doesn't know whats real or not so thumbs up if you feel bad for salad fingers.
