(HD) Hold Me For A While。。。Rednex

This song stirs my senses and elevates me to a higher level! Even before I put the pictures and video together, I *knew* exactly what the outcome would be. At first, I had the pictures, but no video.. so I could not proceed. That was when Ari-san gave me one from his private collection. Thank you, Ari-san!!!

Yesterday, July 7th, was Tanabata in Japan, Star Festival..
(meaning "Evening of the seventh") It is a Japanese festival, derived from Obon traditions and the Chinese star festival, Qi Xi.
The festival is usually held on July 7, and celebrates the meeting of Orihime (Vega) and Hikoboshi (Altair). The Milky Way, a river made from stars that crosses the sky, separates these lovers, and they are allowed to meet only once a year. This special day is the seventh day of the seventh lunar month of the lunisolar calendar.

In China, it is also said that the last princess of the Ming Dynasty, Princess Chang Ping and her husband, was also believed to be the pair of doomed lovers who meet up in the Milky Way once a year. Incidentally, The Butterfly Lovers, Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai.. are also believed to be such a pair. Now, which one of them are the true Srar crossed Lovers? I do not know.. but all three pairs lived, loved and died with their love for each other unfullfilled. So sad.. They loved, but were destined to never be together for all eternity; and could only meet once a year..

I dedicate this song to all those who love someone and yet realise that maybe there would be no future.
Sometimes we may fall in love with someone, knowing very well in our hearts of hearts that it will never be. It is a very sad situation, but then again, this is also part and parcel of Life, we can run and we can hide.. and yet somehow love will find us, right or wrong..

May we all grow and learn from our bad experiences, and may we all find love and peace in our hearts. My wish on my Tansaku this year is, Peace. On earth, in our hearts.. and in our homes, what's yours? :)
