New Norrington

Spoiler I suppose. Well, Norrington is certainly my new favorite- I am endlessly intrigued by drunken people. Anyways, my favorite line from the movie, which you can tell by the fact you can hear me laughing at it. XP...And sorry for the dark environment

Question: what is so "lovable" about a pusilanimous miscreant like Norrington? He's not loving(as he hasn't a heart) and he only cares about helping himself and he doesn't care if he hurts people(as he did taking the heart to Beckett and pretending to be brave.) Why do people fall for him when he's clearly the villain as he always was on Beckett's side?

I thought Norrington was going to be a nice guy in Pirates 2. Boy, was I wrong! He's a jerk! I hate it when people say he's "tortured" and "heartbroken" because he isn't. He didn't give a crap about Elizabeth. He's a snivelling, pathetic, evil Ice-Cream Head. I was happy when he ended up sleeping with the pigs because that's what he is. Why didn't Elizabeth just whack him harder so he'd get some sense knocked into his head?
