  • By the way, if the young beak is soft, how do they break out of their shells? Do they use their claws instead?

  • Although their beaks are soft - they have an 'egg tooth' on the beak which they soon loose after hatching - I am about to upload part 2 of the story which may answer other questions

  • I see. How do Eagle Owl mothers in the wild deliver the food to the hatchlings' mouths then, if in the early days they can't even raise their heads?
