Little afterwork housejam with my MPC-60. Everything is from the 60 except the Rhodes mello which comes from the Micro Modular. No FX were used, sometimes i just like to jam with my MPC after a hard day of work. This time i decided to record it :)

  • Dude, what's the effect used on the kick drum beat ? I mean it sounds like a two bar beat, the first bar is just a raw kick and the second is like with some delay. Could you tell me how did u get that sound ? Ty in advance.

  • @jotatanka yeah it does a bit, but actually as far as i can rememver its just the mpc swing setting to 58% (the whole beat is set to that)

  • i like the sound of your drums. what drum computer are the samples originally from ?

  • thanx :) the drums are a mix of samples, the bd is sampled from an xpress-2 record, the hats and claps come from various scources.....

  • thanx man. the previous owner put a new el-foil in it...its really superbright lol. the micro is fantastic. its just bit of a pain to edit it on the mac, since the software tends to crash quite often:). cheers

  • this is my favorite drum machine..

  • Great job, simple can be so wonderful. Your one of the reasons I'm using a MPC60II again. Thanks for the inspiration!! Whats your current rig btw ? Is the Machinedrum gone, what version of the Nord did you settle on.

  • @PuCCiPuCCe

Nice one. There all great. Of course there just lumps of circuit board. Its the human that makes the difference :]

  • @ClarkTrentMusic I got a 4000 now, my next MPC is a 60

  • @PuCCiPuCCe

For the price of a 2500 you could have got a 60. Or at least here in the UK. S/H 2500 £550. S/H MPC60 £600

You could always sell one to get the other. Both are superb machines in there own right.

  • nice... i just replaced the backlight in my 60II... so bright! changes everything when you can see

  • beautiful
