  • technically its not natural for humans to paint, either. *shrug*

  • if something is not natural for an animal to do it doesnt automatically mean its abusive or a bad thing for them to do...

Why are apes allowed to paint and nobody complains about it, but elephants can't ?

Because apes (humans) figured out how to do it on their own, and do it of their own choice. For the elephant it means nothing, and it's probably not comfortable. It's just for the food.

  • @Kaminoraiu It is completely natural for creatures to express themselves. Humans have been scribbling in the dirt for eons. I remember as a child around a campfire, picking up a partially burned stick and using it to scribble on stones, etc. Completely natural...as is singing, dancing, etc. Not sure what you are talking about??

  • @MissSobia2414

In a certain way, all we've done here is natural. We change our environment in a natural way by creating synthetic stuff that came from our natural body and brain. And a lot of living organisms modify their environment, such as the beaver and even better, all the phytoplanctons that created an atmosphere rich in oxygen.

  • @MissSobia2414 also these are highly intelligent animals. In zoo's and other places where they keep tame elephants its not possible to give them the same challenge and activities as they would have had in the wild. So maybe giving elephants and apes something to do like painting is a good thing... to keep them stimulated. What do you want, a bored elephant or one thats using its brain in a fun activity?

  • @MissSobia2414 learning elephants to paint or play soccer so they can make money from tourists wich go towards keeping them alive isnt making 'everything better'. These people that work there know that too.

BUT, without this income they can not afford to pay for everything that the elephant needs.

There is not enough room to create natureparks for all of them, nor can they be released in the wild.

Therefore it is not making things 'better', it's making the best out of a not perfect situation.

  • @tincancompany That video so proves my point, thanks :)

  • @Jojanneke83 I know that but it is not in nature and why should humans try to change everything and make everything"better"? Why shall we interfere with nature? I didnt say it was bad or abusive I just was getting my point across that it is not natural. I don't know anything a bout apes except that they are a species of animal. So no comment

  • @Kaminoraiu good one!:) Even though u so dissed my comment:)

  • @kwl912 I will leave that job for you,ok? :)

  • @ElectroGloww cool username!:) A leash a chain whats the difference.Everything that humans do is not unnatural. Humans breathe and that is so natural by the way. OMG you like stop complaining that I am complaining. I did not say that elephants are not smart. If an elephent is captured from wildlife and put in a place with no cars how will it tip one ever? Who needs entertaining ? The elephants? What a joke.
