Grouse Cleaning

Here's a video of me cleaning my first grouse. Maybe not perfect, but I don't think I did too bad either! :D

Mmmmm.... dusted with flour, salt and pepper... deep fried and it was melt in your mouth!

Not a big deal but I hate the smell of its guts when you clean them. Some of the worst farts I've smelled are just like Partridge guts

@acidfly1 -- yep, I wear gloves for every animal I clean... and they are handled as infected until they are cooked. You and mol128 below can get together and have a good laugh!

As for the protective pants... they're kevlar. I was falling trees at the time I had a grouse walk out and thought "Hmmm.... lunch". Guess you want to laugh at me for protecting my legs when using a chainsaw, much like I protect my hands when cleaning wild game? I guess I shouldn't tell you - I WEAR MY SEATBELT TOO!

nice job, just out of curiosity what state are you in. im from minnesota and havent seen any grouse this year

@racerfreak8 - I'm actually in Ontario, Canada. I've seen quite a few this year on my walks through the bush. Only a week away before they start becoming dinner!

@mol128 - LOL! Guess you've never heard of a blood born disease, eh? I wear gloves for every animal I clean (except they're generally latex - this is just what I had handy). What's it hurt to wear gloves? To me, your statement is the same as saying "stop wearing your seatbelt, you bloody wimp". Sure, I may never be in an accident, but the seatbelt will save my life if it does happen.

@luketdrifter2100 I agree. I got my first grouse and I cleaned it like a chicken. Got the whole bird in the freezer and it wasn't any harder to clean it the way I did. Alot of lazy fuckers out there it seams.
