It sounds as if there is a faulty metronome in the background of this song - it's my foot.

  • Insanity man. I just began researching the Rhodes today after wondering what that sound was that I was hearing on some songs, so I started looking for videos on YouTube and found this. Your playing is awesome man, that's all I can say. You've inspired me to hunt for a Rhodes, can you tell me what model that is? Thanks for uploading this. Ugh man....I play the keyboard, but that sound right there is wow...

  • Thanks man. The Rhodes is a mark I 73 (stage). It's the best instrument I own by a long shot.

Go find a Rhodes and buy one immediately - you won't regret it.

  • posted this info on two of your videos, cause I didn't think it came up here - sorry.

  • Yeah I got myself a crazy rare Mk 1. The date is 2479 - so it was made just before the transition of the MK 2. It has the earliest known MK 2 preamp stuck on it. Research belives my piano was made as a test for the preamp and for the Janus 1 amp - one of a kind. But whatever it still kicks out that glorious sound that every rhodes produces, I'm just lucky to have stumbled across a bonus. I tell you what though - i'd consider giving up this rarity to play like you do. Keep it up
