my mom steams the chicken in the rice cooker. When the rice is done, the chicken is also done. she then pours some of the chicken juice on the rice and mix it with chicken meat and steamed veggies.

Very simple. She usually make enough to last 3 days.

Rice and chicken are not expensive if you buy them in bulk.
