  • @babyEroose

yeah man, Chuck Berry was toppin' charts before Elvis was crowned the "king" of rock'n'roll

  • joyau! bijou! merci!

  • first time i ever heard this. wonderful!!! good job, richard!!

  • @Critic0L you make way too many assumptions. You have no idea at all what type of music I listen to or my knowledge of music past & present. Judging from a lot of the comments here I am not the only 1 who didnt know that this song was a remake. And I suppose only you know about every original version of music that comes out & have never known a song only to find out its a remake/sampled? The irony of your comment is that ppl back then didnt write their own stuff remember they took it from blacks

  • Louie Louie has been covered by 26 artists that I know of. That's why Richard Berry is the man and 26 other bands are part of a large societal stigma.

  • @babyEroose #1 Everybody is an idiot. #2 You're like one of those people that listens to Gym Class Heroes - Cupid's Chokehold and says "I love the chorus of this song." Then I say, "Oh you like Supertramp?" and they say, "Who's Supertramp?" People have forgotten that a long time ago people used to write their own songs instead of just taking someone else's. People need to understand where the music they enjoy is coming from. You may like the artist less or you may like them more.

  • @Critic0L #1 not an idiot, and #2 you shouldnt make general sweeping comments b/c then you sound like an idiot. I'm black and I know that as for some genres this is the case but not all of modern music has solely black American influences. My comment was that I didn't know a black man did this song first, not that I had complete ignorance of the impact of black Americans on American pop music. I think plenty of ppl didnt know about this version.

  • @babyEroose Your an idiot if you didn't know modern music was all influenced by blacks. All music these days is covers, remakes, or remixes of blues music.
