Still building our own CNC mill I wanted some quick results so I attached a 80x80mm alu profile with a Dremel hold in place by rubber bands (I did say quick result...). The hole in the Balsa wood was the result of the first test in which the machine tried to push my Dremel through the tabletop.
I would suggest this to anyone building a strong CNC machine, start testing with a machine that will move out of the way when something goes wrong, or risk losing a 2k$ milling spindle (and maybe an eye).
The machine is able to mill up to 200x100x35 cm objects.
What power supply is this machine using? Im currently using a converted pc power supply (12volt) but Im not getting much speed from my motors. Can you recommend a good power supply?

I am using MSD50-5.6 drivers with a 42 volt PSU. The motors are (large) 6.4 Nm motors. Max speed is currently 2000 mm/min (with ball screws with 5mm pitch), I tried a 3::1 pulley ratio to get up to 6000 mm/min but had to step back due to problems with the pulley mounts.
