  • Oh, by the way. Thanks to whoever did this video, it's just perfect. I love it. Great job!

  • thanks for the appreciation!

  • you do know that Django Reinhardt only had two fingers on his left hand right?

  • I think that he had all 5, but 3 were paralyzed, so he could only solo with 2, but I don't really know so much about him, you could be right.

  • Just perfect! Django will live forever!

  • One of the greatest jazz guitar solos ever recorded.

  • @ohiva1 I noticed that as well!

  • He says more with a guitar in 2:42 than the majority of us do in a lifetime. Amazing solo, perfect.

  • if that animation up here is representing Django is a little wrong cuz django only used two fingers to step on the strings, amazing ah? true

  • @therockingviking well 2 were paralysed the thumb was used for octave licks and chords but rarely

  • ha great video

  • @therockingviking He had all 5 but two were fused together after getting burned. So, as far as his guitar playing was concerned he had 3 fingers as he couldn't use the two stuck together.

  • @therockingviking actually, 2 fingers were burned (not 3, his left thumb was ok) , and he used only 2 fingers for solos, he had his 5 fingers but the 2 last were paralyzed. but he can play his 6th chord with the 4th finger.

    Solo : 2 fingers used

    Chord : 3 fingers used

  • @therockingviking You are correct. He had all five but due to his pinky and ring fingers being permanently crippled (not sure if the thumb was also) he could only use two fingers when soloing. He was able to use the other two for chords on the two bottom strings, but he also had to figure out alternate fingerings for many chords. Truly amazing what he could do on a guitar, especially after all the adversity he had to overcome. He's number one in my book :)
