Paul Washer on worship, worship-music, contemporary christian music etc.

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

( colossians 3, 16 )

  • You are right. I know a man and because he's talented they let him play in the worship. But he doenst have a testimony. He has divorced his wife and is still playing in the worship of the church. I know onother girl, she sings in the worship of the pentacostal church and she lives together with a man. We have to be very alert in not letting everybody to put their hands on your head and pray for you cause you dont know what kind of spirit this person has. look at the fruits first. God bless you.

  • I love Paul Washer! God uses him so much. Glory to God! May the earth walk in His ways and tremble before Him!

  • I use to be the guitar player for the Christian rock band Petra. I totally agree with Paul Washer and I have more to add about this topic, but who would listen.

  • @Augmarh even the children of Israel understood that if God were to even speak to them they would die! But in present day churches...God visits willy-nilly...

  • As he said, its ok to get emotion, but when people.sing songs an make it about themselfs an not jesus, thats wrong. When a child that can't sing so good, sing unto God they don't feel nothing, but when its all perfect notes and stuff, they beat there chest and glory in themself. the thing about God not being there is something i want hear him expain, i think he realize what he said and stop talking.

  • Is it norwegian? Or swedish?

  • In which language is it translated?

  • It's emotion. Anointing stay with you and draws you closer to the Lord Jesus. Emotions fluctuate. Anointing causes me to see who I am, repent of my sins, believe the gospel Christ, and continue steadfastly in the apostles doctrine. Emotions lead me to build a house on sand. Amen to Christ Jesus.

  • Some folks say that they got goosebumps hearing people in church sing and say that's the anointing, but it's not...

  • Amen. A lot of black people in church in America today are very emphatic on singers singing high notes and that isn't anything but tradition.

  • God is here

No He is not because most of you would be dead if He was here
