do you want me to now randomly pick one for you?
I have picked for you Achamán, the supreme god of the Gaunches on the island of Tenerife!!
Good luck!

"..everything it says has come true!"
Are we talking about the same bible here? Are you even from the same planet I am from?
I could give you a list that went on and on of unfulfilled prophecies and, worse, unfulfillable prophecies. What bullshit you speak - how about Isiah 19:18? Where are your five Egyptian cities going to come from now the canaanite tongue has been lost to time, eh? Why not read up on Daniel and how it is actually dated to 164BC....

@noelplum99 you will find the truth in your heart... and the truth will free your mind...

I've had the exact same thought as yours here.
Eloquently put, thanks.

Maybe you just convertet some christians into satanists, hehe ;)

The winner of the war gets to write history. Maybe that's why this God character got to inspire the Bible.
God is like America: at war with everything. God fought people over and over for a long time, then most of the animals, all plant life, and always the fallen angels. It kind of makes one think He's somewhat antisocial. I wonder if He'd be a nicer God if he got over His anger and ego issues.

@thesoundoftruth1 God just IS. Since God is infinite, there is nothing else, no possibility of negative or oppositional powers. "Satan" is just a term denoting ignorance of that fact. All ignorance or darkness is of course "doomed" to vanish in the light of Truth. In the meantime,"we as humans" are indeed under the heel of "Satan" until we begin to see the light and then develop the strength of character to hold onto it no matter what.
-
@thesoundoftruth1 Assuming that the Bible is a "Western" document then we need only look to Genesis to discover that all of the ills appearing in the perceptual world of duality stem from the acceptance of two powers, Good and Evil, which acceptance immediately throws us out of the "garden" of perfect peace, abundance and harmony where there is only one power. The way back to the Garden then is to destroy our belief system in good and evil. Not an easy task.
-
@thesoundoftruth1 Apparently, you got it. I knew you had to out there, somewhere! There are answers to this kind of drivel but, alas, few actually want them. They merely want to reinforce what they already believe.
Eventually, each in his own time will encounter a crack that cannot be reinforced.
-
@thesoundoftruth1 You expect to write a condescending comment, based on unsupported beliefs, attacking me and my position which you are completely ignorant of, and then act somehow morally and intellectually superior to me cause I call you retarded? You obviously have nothing of value to contribute to this video or forum so please piss off.
I think god would have to be above pairs of opposites like good and evil. Why? Because if god were good it wouldn't allow evil, and if it were evil it wouldn't allow good. So that would be a wash right there. They cancel each other out. Actually, neither could exist without the other, could they? Seems to me god would have no part in the world of duality. Which is real: god or the world of duality that we perceive?

That sounds a bit like a kind of Hindu take on things with the concept of Brahman dispassionate and above the gods Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva who are a bit more characterful.

Your premise is false. If God is Infinite, Omnipresent, Omnipotent, Omniscient (which it would have to be in order to be God) then in Reality there can be no lesser powers, no oppositional powers. There can be only one Identity, one Being. And, being One, it cannot be be evil; as Jesus explained, "A house divided against itself cannot stand." The good/evil world of appearances is a world of human concepts. God has nothing to do with it.

"If God is Infinite, Omnipresent, Omnipotent, Omniscient (which it would have to be in order to be God)"
Of the hundreds of gods ever worshipped i know of only two for whom such claims are made, so i think your definition is lacking here.

(cont)having fun. And even if you 'figured out the scam', what difference would any of that make to anything? You'd just be the next to die in the earthquake tomorrow...problem solved.
The point here is that the whole idea you posed here is flawed logically, and even if it wasn't, it's a meaningless argument anyway. Clearly you're just looking to argue with people, but why about something so arbitrary then? Are you just looking to confuse people? or anger people? Or is your way of searching?

Searching probably. Searching to understand why people lower their thresholds of credulity in some situations and not others. Why people are so quick to say 'well he would say that wouldn't he' in some situations and yet don't even consider the same in others.
