Spoiled with Pre Fab Kits? This is how we used to do it, using 2 different motors. I've been around the block with all kinds of model airplanes over the last 55 years starting at 8 years old, so just going back to the "roots" is lots of fun for me as I mix History with the present. I found this antique Sig "Buster" UKIE at Donovan's Hobby and Scuba Center, so had to build it. Also see a high speed Monokote shrink covering demo and the rain flights. The next video will be a tethered RC elevator controlled flight, so make sure to see that and if it will work.

  • fantastic to see more 'early toys' videos from you! very enjoyable indeed!

  • @BrotherBloat Thanks so very kindly. Wait til you see what is coming tonight.

  • cool

  • @tdtom154 Thanks.

  • great stuff! cool to see the covering coming to its own with such a vintage model :) Do you know what the intended covering/painting method was for this model originally?

  • @LondonRCproject Thanks. According to the instructions, it was tinted dope , followed by clear dope to seal the surfaces against all the fuel. But...too much work and stink for me today. Wait til you see what is coming tonight with this plane. More Mixing of the past with Present technology.

  • How long of lines are you using for this buster? are they nylon or steel,?

  • what was the final setup , you stated a 1200 watt ? brushless ? and what lipo mah , only asking because i see the kit is still available so would love to set one up like you did, just love the vid, great stuff...

  • love the video, ive been flying electric rc park flyers for years but never did u control as a kid, now this big kid would love to give it a try, thanks again for posting this vid, awesome

  • What a fun plane! How hard would it be to up date this bird to a 3 or 4 channel RC flyer?

  • Dude, This all I fly. Control line is my hobby. But I do fly very little R.C. I dont have much interest in it though.

  • they still make that kit, its like 22.99 for the factory

  • Wasn't this ship painted yellow before it was orange? I think that's why your supplied kit decals are orange instead of yellow. And 1200 Watts? Anyway I love the spirit you have going on this channel. You'll be the guy who succeeds in getting kids into our hobby again.
