i think she made mistakes, no focus to see the work, and she was not pressing the seem she was ironing it, moving the iron back and forth, doing that can distort the threads in the fabric, i have made that mistake, pressing is done when you press the hot iron on the fabric and not moving back and forth

This is a "Flat fell seam", not "flat felt". After the first seam is made, one side should be trimmed, then the wider side of the seam folded under and sewn on top. This eliminates a lot of bulk within the seam.
