Sows will build large protective nests when given the chance to behave naturally.

  • Farrowing Crate is protecting the piglets and prevent the mother sow murder the piglets and eat back the deal piglets when it starve.

  • @onepointpoint farrowing crates are for the benefit of the producer not the pig. Lots more pigs in a very small space, total control of the animal so that means minimal staff. Pig that eat their young have serious problems usually associated with the appalling conditions they are confined to in factory farming.

  • Great video, the natural way, God's way, the healthy way, the humane way is done just like this. Family farming/free range allows pigs to live naturally, and they look much healthier and stress free. It's a shame how pregnant sows lie on hard cement, and are denied the ability to make a nest in an intensive setting. Thank you for being educational and humane.

  • @onepointpoint I have yet to see or hear about this happening on a family farm or farm sanctuary. You must be promoting the farrowing crate for your own financial gain.Everytime I see a vid about the natural way of raising pigs, you find fault with it.
