I heard this for the first time at a Thanksgiving Service recently. Though I admire today's "hymn writers" surely it is not essential for us to like everything that is written and the fact that other people, may not "like it" is their right. It shouldn't devalue the words or the music, just different songs are appreciated by different people - or not as the case may be.
