I can't believe that nobody upload this friggin' MASTERPIECE on YouTube before! The NYC based band The Groupies are responsible for the obscure punk jewel "Primitive" (and not "Caveman" as I wrote at the end o' the clip), later covered by many bands, as The Cramps among others. But the flipside "I'm a hog for you" is a MONSTER! I know, this tune was written by legendary Leiber/Stoller for The Coasters (?) and was recorded by the Kinks and the Lords before the Groupies, but the madness right here is far out THE BEST of the lot. Check the filthy lyrics, the crazed out guitars, the snotty voice and the drum pounding... PUNK ROCK BABY! PURE PUNK ROCK!!! For further info wrote www.myspace.com/theoriginalgroupies on your browser.
I'll take the original R&B scorcher by The Coasters anyday but this is a cool version.

BELIEVE IT OR NOT, this song is on Suzy Bogguss's very first album. She self produced the album, and it is on the OldShack Recording Label-A Collectors Item.

Dr Feelgood did it best. Sorry but that's just a fact.

@bvorie It was written by Jerry Lieber and Mike Stoller, who wrote many of The Coasters' songs.
