A curious feature of Cook the raconteur was his own feigned slummy estuary accent. The funny voice was a big part of his comic performances; usually mocking some northern European sophisticate or pretentious little domestic proletariat. His humour was symptomatic of a transitional period in television when the establishment wasnt sure whether it should be laughing at the masses or with them.

It's nice to see them both in good spirits considering their relationship was in such bad shape that year.
But great interview. Conteh's face is an absolute picture.
