@Natthegolfer No not at all! In fact I had just got done telling my sister not to worry about the tornado warning b/c we never have "real" tornadoes in this area. (we're from Tuscaloosa so that's what we call real tornadoes)
It's a nice little area! I'm sure you'll love it!

where were driving too, thankfully I was in VA this weekend I live in Holly Glen off Avent Ferry my house was fine but wow about Avent Ferry. I can't begin to imagine how scary it must have been.

@KnTCJG we saw it taped off from the main road. We didn't realize the damage and ventured over to Harris Teeter to shop after the storm (when the sun came out and it was a pretty day). We weren't even positive it was a tornado until we saw that.

@Urgo6667 I just watched your video with the aftermath footage and shared it on my FB! Have to admit I sorta thought the people in front of the ABC store snapping pics were dumb. So dangerous with the powerlines compromised. I'm all for journalism but powerlines scare me more than the storms.
