This week Max Keiser and co-host, Stacy Herbert, talk about the European penny drops as more banks need more bailouts while the public debt clock ticks up to $40 trillion. In the second half of the show, Max Keiser interviews Michael Betancourt about the threat that Occupy Wall Street presents to our modern form of capitalism that relies on ignorance and passivity in the population in order to operate schemes of fraud and bubbles.

  • @cchessmaster a true resource based economy would use science and technology to eliminate scarcity all together, and in fact create a material abundance for every single person in the world, so there is no need for money.

With a monetary system you have deliberate withholding of resources (manufactured scarcity), so as to create a market and therefore "profit"

  • @MasterNameless77 My mom said that from an early age on I had asked "Why?" pretty stubbornly...

I´ve seen and experienced way better and worse things than I had imagined as a kid.

    Life is a miracle!

"Now, one must seek to examine the pieces and discern if they are worth keeping or if they prevent one from seeing the truth."

The everlasting process of creation and destruction, one out of the other...

How long does a H2O molecule or a Ca+-ion stay in your body?

    We are but change...

  • @MrMrEvin When I first heard the Zietgiesters ideas, I immediately thought of a bunch of criticisms, but I still support them. Clearly everything we need something new, and at least they are trying to find a solution instead of just bitching about the world. Would a RBE as they describe it work? Probably not, but they are trying to move in the right direction.

  • @TheHomoludens Also, if I may share something, my Sifu (kung-fu instructor) once told me that the truth is like a light and that our vision of reality is like a stained glass window that we has been built through our developing years. Usually most of the pieces have been told to us when we accepted things blindly. Now, one must seek to examine the pieces and discern if they are worth keeping or if they prevent one from seeing the truth. I still am wrapping my mind around it years later. lol

  • @TheHomoludens I think the media has played a massive part in undermining our perception of "reality" and if we could get them to seek out the truth more wholeheartedly without obstruction, then I think the common folk are intelligent enough to see the corrupt in our govt. for what they are. You're right though close does count...I meant it would start the ball rolling and essentially that probably counts most. It just won't fix it all immediately is what I should have said.

  • @MrMrEvin well for your 1 negative response I got 10 positive, soooooo

    you look like a loser

  • @KillerWhaleSFl stop spouting this zeitgeist shit - RBE 's are not perfect either . its never been tried it never will be unless you duplicate yourself a universe where people ARENT self-centered cunts.

point is if u want to spout opinion - spout your own and not peter joseph's .

    you look like a 12yo

  • OMFG i crapped my self at 0.44

  • @MasterNameless77 "but it doesn't count."

haha, in my decision that´s all that counts. It´s collective decision what "counts", just like what is considered "real".

And I don´t agree with with building utopian worlds anymore. All it takes is for everyone to allow empathy. It´s all there, yet most choose to isolate their thinking from the rest of reality starting with their emotions and their body and causing all kinds of chronic illnesses that way...

  • @TheHomoludens Humane involvement with others is possible if you have respect. I think that most of our "dreams/wishes/hopes" we are not going to see fulfilled as they do require all of humankind to possess a set of morals that even the BEST of us will ever fail to achieve. That which we all seek is utopic in that sense. We could come close if we stuck to the basics of Freedom and equality (without socializing our government or forcing monetary equality) close helps... but it doesn't count.
