Proposal for NDP-Liberal Party cooperation for June 9 Nova Scotia election.

I was thoroughly annoyed when PM Harper expelled MP Bill Casey from the Conservative Party for keeping his promises to Nova Scotians. I wasn't pleased with PM Harper's gambit to bankrupt the other political parties last November. I believe that NDP and Liberal Party candidates who are facing a Conservative Party incumbent should cooperate and organize joint party meetings where the candidates debate the issues and then one or the other withdraws from the race. I think cribbage tournaments would be a great way to settle the issue!

It seems to me that turning the world's one billion hungry people into a market for food produced in our deserts through both aquaculture and agriculture could be the way to reduce the amount of heat going into the atmosphere at the same time that we add fresh water to the water table of North Africa and the Middle East. Every cubic meter added to North Africa will NOT be on top of Florida, New Orleans, Holland or the Maldive Islands!

Let me guess. You voted Conservative most times that we had elections?

For the record, over the past thirty years of voting I think that I voted Liberal 5 times, Conservative 3 times, NDP once and Green once.

I believe that if our political leaders feel more pressure they will come up with more impressive and useful responses to our dilemma.

Sorry, I guess I should write up a script next time and practice as opposed to just rambling away! Keep an eye on South America though because their flu season corresponds to our summer. If hardly any cases occur there this summer maybe this is not too serious at all!

Please do a search for West Antarctic Ice Sheet. If it collapses all of our coastal communities could face a raise of five meters in world ocean levels.

Do a search for Global Dimming and find out why Dr. James Hansen feels that if we go too green, too quickly, global warming may spiral out of control.

Obviously the factors that cause global dimming are relevant to the threat of rising ocean levels.

Election time is the perfect occasion to have the threats taken seriously!
