Princeton professor and Bennett College president debate the Democratic Party acceptance speech of Sen. Barack Obama. Drs. Julianne Malveaux and Cornel West seem to agree on Barack Obama's indubitable avoidance of race-related issues, even with the memory of Dr. King's infamous "I Have A Dream Speech" lurking in the background. • I disagree with their statements. This was a speech about American and I'm an African American. He doesn't have to put out there how black he is. Everyone knows he's black.

  • Obama belongs to America, not just the black community. I think Obama has recognized the past, but he also understands that it's his position to serve all the people equally, and not play sides.

He's in a tough position, and he has to walk his tightrope with balance.

  • The name of the show should be, "nigger talk". It's all about crybabies niggers whining about slavery and everything else.

Hell, American has GiVEN niggers education, jobs, housing, food, money, and everything under the sun. Yet, they still bitch and complain like lazy bitches.

  • @g55coffia

You're an idiot! We have to acknowledge solidarity among ourselves because of folks like you and yours who don't have any idea as to what it means to hold on in this society.

  • Why do blacks call each other "brother"? No other race does that. It sounds so stupid.

  • @mrscorie - Thank You... ONE DROP! People have forgotten that. In Alabama, Obama is a nigger and THAT makes him Black. In Mississippi he will be a nigger which classifies him as Black. All of a sudden; yes; all of an effen sudden, we're part White now?

  • @GentlemanJimStacey

I agree with you. When campaigning for a leadership position of a nation you don't want to speak in ways that are only directed at your ethnic group. If this was the NAACP it would be a different ball game. But again when campaigning for the leadership of a Nation the citizens are expecting for you to make just decisions and lead all people. And He/She must instill the confidence within us that he/she will do just that.

  • can anyone enlighten me as to why Dr. King's speech is so often referred to as ïnfamous." Famous yes, but why could it be considered infamous?

  • Some people do not understand the black elite and black political leaders GROOMED Barack Obama. Barack Obama did not emerge out of nowhere he was trained, and got help from powerful African Americans. Also, why shouldn't Obama be aware of black concerns. Obama should NOT take the black vote for granted! Black people have a RIGHT to criticize Obama.

  • THANK YOU wh0m33!

Bozo wouldn't even mess with these three

  • Sacrifices refers to the people who came BEFORE Barack.
