Forsaken (abandonado), es una canción del grupo Dream Theater, escrita por su guitarrista, John Petrucci; y forma parte del álbum de 2007, Systematic Chaos (caos sistemático). La canción habla de un hombre que es visitado, a la noche, por una vampiresa. Mientras que el hombre cree que está empezando a ver "cosas bonitas", en realidad, su sangre está siendo aspirado por la vampiresa.
Dream Theater (el teatro del ensueño), es una banda estadounidense de metal progresivo, iniciada por tres estudiantes de Berklee en 1985. Se ha convertido en la banda de su género más exitosa, después de la época de oro del rock progresivo. Es bien conocida por la capacidad técnica de cada instrumentista, y ha recibido numerosos premios de revistas especializadas. También es notable por su versatilidad musical y los muchos géneros diferentes que su propia música incorpora. Al principio, el grupo se llamaba Majesty (majestad), pero por problemas legales tuvieron que cambiar a Dream Theater, que es el nombre de un teatro ubicado en Los Ágeles, EE.UU.
