My personal top 10 list of comic books by Alex Ross. This collection includes only comics either written or drawn by him and no cover or other art work. So don't be upset, if your favourite didn't make my list.

  • i like astro city, belive me

but alex had little to do with this

he mainly did the covers, they are gorjus. and the storys are worth the read.

but i jut fealt like that should be pointed out

  • @redrasegarden You are of course right but it must also be said that he designed the characters which were later used by Anderson.

  • I recently got my hands on Kingdom come and I thought was very good story and Alex Ross has some awesome artwork in the book.

  • @seanMmaguire1 His artwork is always breathtaking. But Kingdom Come also has a decent story.

  • Marvels and Kingdom Come were incredible. I want to check out Earth X now.

  • @TheChoochMagooch Do it and tell me what you think.

  • @DrGull1888 oh, ok

  • While technically good I wouldn't call Ross a cartoonist though his thumbnail sketches show that he could be.

He's generally a technician and hasn't learned even the shallow resonance of Rockwell.

Ross' work is a technical feat and I'm no more moved by him than I am someone who has mastered Dance Dance Revolution.

Not to mention that he didn't write most of the books presented here.

  • @TheDissident77 An also obvious Michael Keaton is the adult Dick Grayson in Kingdom Come.

  • If you look at the pics at 1:06 of Batman War on Crime, Can you NOT see Keaton's eyes!? Thats why Keaton played such a good Batman/Bruce. The eyes!
