BORN IN DUVAL AND I VISIT EVERY SUMMER... YES, MIGHT BE A LITTLE GHETTO,HAVE SOME POT HOLES, THE CRIME HAS INCREASED AND MIGHT NOT BE THE SAFEST PLACE, BUT ITS CERTAINLY NOT THE WORST AND THE REASON WHY I KEEP COMING BACK IS BECAUSE OF MY FAMILY, AND FRIENDS AND CHILD HOOD MEMORIES THAT STILL LIVE THERE NOTHING HAS REALLY CHANGED. THAT'S WHY I LOVE IT SOMETHING I CAN COME BACK TO EVERY SUMMER....

Wow, nice to hear that some states have money. You need a damn good bladder to drive across Virginia after they closed half of the rest areas. Closed rest stops, potholed roads, the only thing that hasn't changed is the cops. More than ever out to make money for our depleted commonwealth.

Very nice tour of the area. It's kind of sad that we have all these old bridges and worn out highways. We can't get potholes filled around here so good luck getting a new bridge.

its hard to say if the new bridge will come to pass or not. FDOT has been spending mega bucks in the J-ville area over the last few years - mostly on interchange upgrades (see the 10/95 interchange and the three level stack at IH95's Exit 337) and flyovers, so who knows...
