In this video, I'll share an important distinction between between "modeling" and being a copycat. This is really important to get because modeling can lead to success, and "copying" will put you out of business.

  • Marie! What the heck! I did this same video a week ago! Copier! ;-) hehe just kidding, love ya!!

  • Thank's so much for You!! I have someone who copies me, about 12 hours later!!! Modeling I love, copying is incredibly annoying.

  • Marie thanks for addressing this issue. I find it so frustrating that people find the need to be copycats instead of just being themselves. More of the "coaches" out there need to clearly define the difference between modeling and copying as you just did. I wish these people realized that when you are truly being yourself and true to your core you actually eliminate the competition!

  • Marie Forleo, You are always on point. Love your quirkiness and sophisticated delivery :-)

  • @tommyisastrategist I agree with this Tommy and I would like to add that those links need to be absolute and not relative to point back to your site.

  • At first you feel angry and you want to shoot them but than you realize than no one can create your ideas the way you would.

  • If someone's ripping your blog posts, always make sure you have links back to other posts on your site. Most copiers are literally copy/pasting, so use that to your advantage.

Also, a gentle but firm copyright notice at the bottom of your page. At scale, having a lawyer contact everyone can get time consuming and expensive, but the additional links back to your other articles may have some minor SEO value.

If it's continuous with one person though, go to their house and kneecap those mofos

  • @marieforleo Glad I wasn't the only guy here! lol.

  • i knew this was uploaded recently when she said pipeline like that from a business prospective.

  • SUBBED :-)
