Includes a short punchy story about snow in South Dakota just before the forecast. Note they couldn't spell Bothwell. At the end is the program schedule for that evening, which shows what programming was like for a BBS station that was not affiliated with CTV.

Also note this is a very much more animated Al McGregor, compared to robatsea2008's CJOH clip from 1979.

  • what happen to the guy on the right? where is he now

  • Al McGregor got let go by CHUM in 1998, shortly after they bought the station. Al later resurfaced on CBC Radio as a London reporter, and now teaches at Fanshawe.

  • Now that looks more like Jay Campbell. No afro, lol. Some of those graphics look more professional than what they have now.

  • In the BBS days though, they piggybacked a lot of their graphics from CFTO. That fly-through map at the start of the forecast, I recall seeing that on CFTO as well.

  • I miss CFPL TV. I'm from Erie, PA. and as a kid, that station came in as well as the local ones. Someday I'm going to visit London for the first time, and stand on Dundas St.!

  • If Melissa Schenk takes over for Jay, I'm never watching that tv station again. God, she's annoying.

  • He talks the same now as he did back then.

  • Jay is awesome!

OH! The weather word! I remember that! :D
