Budapest Hurdy Gurdy Busker

We came across this street performer in Budapest's Vaci Street near the Inner City Parish Church.

According to Wikipedia the hurdy-gurdy has a well developed tradition in Eastern Europe, in particular in Hungary, Poland, Belarus and Ukraine. After a decline in the 1930's, the instrument is undergoing a revival and also is being used in various ethnographic ensembles.

The performer was wearing what looked like traditional eastern Eurpoean tight waisted dark blue woven wool cherkesska(?), leather boots, and a feathered wool hat. Please post if you know the origin of the costume or the identity of the performer.

I think he is Laszlo Blaskovics, a fine "tekero" player in his regular performing garments. I am not an expert, but this style of costumes was in fashion in the Kingdom of Hungary in the 17-18 centuries.

The cloth is not typical hungarian it seems it's something like russian or cossack cloth.But i'm sure it's not Hussar. The cloth of a hussar was thighter and red vith a big cap.
