She was 5 years old.

I always speak to her in spanish, my husband speaks to her in French and she goes to school in Virginia,USA. So far it has worked out and it is very natural. To be honest, I do not like to teach her a language since that will be a pain for her and for us....and what I like the most is that she does not mix them but that is not to my credit since I typically mix them myself, hahaha!!

In answer to your question, you are as wrong as your assumption. We live in USA and if you listen carefully she is also fluent in english, do you find that at the spanish/france border as well?

When i was a child i was speaking with my mother in my native language, with father in russian, and cartoons helped me to get basics of english lol. that realy helped me to understand even more languages, i can easily learn or to get basics of different languages. it just go naturally :D

Its awesome. To answer everyones frequently asked question you teach a child to speak different languages by ASKING them question, reading to them and just talking. Theyll ask you what youre saying and ALL you have to do is answer in a different language. :)

I would think that if i taught kids languages as they were growing up that they would mix them into one sentence!

@Piba18 I am very curious about bilingual kids (or in this case multilingual). Did she learn english only at school?? or you spoke her in english when she was little??

Woah she's able to just switch over and access the language she is being spoken too and just respond in a second, she's extremely bright. Unbelievable.

@dreamer1875 I guess you can say any language...trying to learn a language takes A LOT of work. You have to be patient; memorize beeep; understand logic better; pronounce different noises; learn, learn, learn. It kills you slowly lol...imagine trying to learn arabic or chinese! For me, learning french busts my balls!
