Stuck on The Simpsons Ride! Ride Break Down at Universal Studios Hollywood

On August 10, 2011, close to closing time at Universal Studios Hollywood, we went on The Simpsons ride. And then, towards the middle begining of the ride, our car just froze in the position i was, then straightened out, and just sat there while we stared at the screen while all the other cars around us were flying/moving around! It was really odd, and there were some screeching noises. So yeah, we were stuck on the ride for a good 10-15 minutes i think! At least it felt that way. Once all the other cars lowered down, we were stuck up there and then the dome lights lit up and there were some people talking over the system, and they had to reset the ride system and had to manually get the car to lower down, and we had a lady come up top to us. Once we were lowered down, we were all issed coupons for a carnival game or a free drink, and then right away, after they once again reset the ride, we got to go again but this time smack down in the middle for an even better ride. All in all, it was pretty awesome :)

If the park staff asks you to put the camera away than do it. Failure to listen to park staff is illegal.

Out of curiosity, what is the point of having 3 projectors per dome?

@KyFriedPlatypus I believe its because of one of these two reasons: either because three projectors produced a total of a 4K image back in 2008 when this was opened or more likely because the video image is so larged that each projector projects a different portion of the dome screen. If this was in 3D, there'd be 6 projectors! Crazy haha.

When me, my cuz, and my mom went on Harry Potter and forbidden journey, the screen went grey and we were there for 2 minutes and it stopped and went to the end. They let us go to front and we got to go on again. But now I have a fear of simulator rides.

@9ALLEN9 It is illegal to not follow a ride operators instructions in most states, i know this because I had to study amusement laws a few years ago.
