The pisser is that that's the best pub I've visited in the UK--and now it's closing because of an unwanted, unhealthy, unenforceable smoking ban?!?!?!

Excellent stuff. We need to fight the Ban! I mean who's actually enforcing it? There's maybe 20 officers in the whole country. Nice to see someone doing the right thing. Sorry about your pub, though.

Sadly, when the pub closed, the pubco that owns it (Enterprise Inns), brought in caretaker management. Thats worse than being closed. Caretakers just do the minimum hours to keep the place open but late night drinking and smoke-ins are a thing of the past. Now I'll have to go find a new smoke-easy, if there's any pubs left at all :-(
