Street fighting is a serious game. More then likely, you're going to find yourself on the ground with an opponent who's not going to stop until you're unconscious. Do you have the grappling skills needed to save your life? In this exclusive video from Paladin Press, Urban Combatives instructor Lee Morrison will show you that the best way to deal with a threat is to shut it down quickly and violently. This video is no frills and pure survival. Using whatever is needed to overpower your opponent, Lee covers gouging, ripping and biting tactics designed to stop the fight cold. Unlike the ring, there are no rules on the street.

In the event the fight goes to the ground, Lee will show you tactics on how to cover up and get back to you feet fast. Lee backs up his real-world tactics with real-world experience. Ballistic manipulation, violence, and speed are the name of the game. Whether stand-up grappling or if you find yourself on your back in a alley, you'll be ready. For information purposes only.

  • My problem with this demonstration and many like it, is that the subject used to demonstrate this on, is unrealistically acting in an anticipated submissive may. For people looking to these demonstrations as a form of education, it strips them of the knowledge of how the aggressor would likely react to this form of self defense and in turn, what the defender would/should/could do to counter the aggressors reaction. I see it this way through the eyes of a teacher and a student. Just my opinion

  • @MindBeyondAverage Thank you for the comment MindBeyondAverage. I understand where you're coming from and we receive similar statements about the "complacent attacker." With most self-defense disciplines, drills are often used to practice. Obviously, the drill partner is not going to behave as a raging attacker might, ... but doing drills like these help to engrave your reactions to danger into your muscle memory. So that in the event of being attacked, you're more likely to react instantly.

  • Not sure why you deleted my post. Lee is really good, but the fact is he got this whole presentation, almost word for word from Mick Coup.

  • @MDAC1012 Hi, MDAC1012, I apologize.YouTube had it marked as spam for some reason and I can't seem to locate your last comment. YT seems to mark a lot of our comments as spam, when they're not.

  • @PaladinPress TRUE!.... You don't want to think but react instantly and the only way is repetition. All it takes is one of those techniques to turn the table in your favor. Practice, practice, practice.......

  • @PaladinPress It would be very nice to see videos where the is an aggressiveattacker even if they are wearing protective gear. Just to see a more realistic scenario.

  • I think it was a good video. When someone comes in for a tackle, my first reaction would be to punch their face as they come in, if I couldn't do that, I'd certainly want to get control of their head, just as this video shows. I practice many counter strikes with my robot punching arms, also coming into the face as he shows.

  • @killerkravist absolutely. The will to survive, violence of action, gross motor weapons, and an ability to cause damage are far more useful, capable, and effective than any adherence to a traditional "martial art" technique. Lee Morrison and Kelly Mccann are some of the best in this field and wont steer you wrong.

  • I think I'm in love! lol

  • Better give Lee his credit, its his show lol those Northerners have always been masters at this kind of thing, Liverpool greetings and glasgow nods, our sacred Islands rose has a few thorns.Kata pattern training procedures and predictable Kumite are useless pragmatically, Wing Chun type Chi sau, another matter entirely. No assailent ever writes you a letter tellin ya where you'll be hit.

  • Not enough character allowance! It was Abernico Arnis with no points baloney and if Ray didn't want to be hit, you couldn't hit him at stick.Uncanny distancing skills!

  • @Jehu30: Thanks mate.Ray was great guy and its great to see him doing so well. We used to put on ice hockey helmets and elbow pads for 4 onto 1 in concrete stairwells, attack each other on weekends, always went to the grapple if it warranted it, and smash the living B'Jebus out of each other with great group morale, lmfao, great memeories. We started in the basement under Ray's flats at NorthRyde in Sydney, Australia, and he never charged us a cent. Best distance & counter ever Ray.try hit him :)
