  • i like the music... where can i get that

  • @rushyrulz hahaha right after i was done reading this i threw my rubiks cube on the ground about 10 times as hard as i could, works like a charm now!! thnx!

  • Spraying it inside like that only makes it chunky if you don't work it enough immediately afterwards.

There are solvents in most silicone lubes which will soften the plastic. You need to spread them around so they can evaporate quickly, and keep working the cube until they mostly harden so the pieces can't stick together.

Pulling it apart avoids that problem, but it also makes it more likely you're going to get it on the sides of the cubes, and end up with a slimy cube with loose stickers

  • Actually, opening up one side and spraying silicone into just that area will make your cube a chunky piece of shit. The real way to do it is to disassemble the whole thing, and spray all the pieces, including the core evenly with about 3-4 coats of silicone spray. Sanding it beforehand wouldn't kill you either. The main thing you can do to loosen it up is to just be aggressive with it. I've dropped mine a bunch and it's looser than a brand new one, so it must help =D

  • oh lol too late then because i already put vaseline on my cube lol

  • Credit to my buddy for teaching me how to do it.

    Sorry, spelt Mixture to "Misture"

  • How to lube a Rubiks Cube:

    1. Mix a few drops of WATER-BASED HAIR GEL & WATER together.

    2. Destroy your Rubiks Cube. (Plug out ALL the parts and only leave the middle pieces and core.)

    3. Put your Rubiks Cube Core in a small basin/container and pour the misture over it. (Don't worry, the stickers won't peel off)

    4. Use a rag/toilet paper to wipe the middle peices.

    5. Assemble the Rubiks Cube again.

This is a much easier (and safer) way to lube your Rubiks Cube.

  • If you read up on rubiks cubing most forums say that vaseline is a horrible alternative. It erodes the plastic and destroys the cube. DO NOT use vaseline on your cube! The only thing worse than vaseline is WD40! Also, I read in many sections that putting sand in your cube is a bad idea as well. Perhaps the problem is people are not putting exact amounts on their tutorials and first timers end up putting too much sand.... lol

  • what if i don't have silicone spray
