Het einde van de film is ietwat goedkoop, misschien prozaïsch-voorspelbaar en abrupt. Een ander einde zou echter langdradig-saai geworden zijn. Omdat de 'almachtige' V.S. van N.A. geen verbond sluiten met Germania loopt alles spaak. Dit is natuurlijk een belachelijke suggestie en constatering na 30 jaar Germania. Zoveel gewonnen en nog meer bestreden dan wel doorstaan, voor geen kleintje vervaard ( Denk aan de 6.000.000! ), en dan zou men buigen voor dat samenraapseltje smeltpot-amerikanen?

I thought about a seqel : I called it Fatherland 2 Rise of the Reds and it's set after this film . The failure of the strategic alliance between the Reich and the USA has allowed the Soviet Union to expand unchecked and its new leader , Alexander Romanov has chosen this moment to attack . The sequel opens with the rebuilt Soviet war machine threatening to wipe the Greater Reich off the map .
