John Kerry should have been Al Gore's running mate instead of Lieberman. He would have won easily.

Bush became president but Gore was the real winner and went on to win the Nobel peace prize and he's leading the fight to stop the climate crisis.

I like how he says I had hoped to be back this year under different circumstances running for re-election. I am sure that John McCain will say the exact same thing at the 2012 Republican Convention. Same with Palin. Palin will arrogantly claim how things like Fort Hood, and the attempted attack over Detroit on Christmas Day with the underwear bomber wouldn't have happened if their ticket had won 4 years earlier.

@Claronium780 Popular vote doesn't matter in elections. Only the Electoral vote does. And Bush won because Congress dropped the ball and refused to contest the election results.

@iceman7213 The issue was over whether or not the contested Florida ballots counted. The Supreme Court has jurisdiction over that.
After the Supreme Court ruled on that, it was up to the Congressmen to challenge the election. If you've ever seen Fahrenheit 9/11, you'll see that no Senator and very few Congressmen wanted to contest the election because they felt it was drawn on long enough.
