hey! you got good entry on your ippon. try to keep your back straight and kuzushi b4 u enter. the most important thing in ippon seioi nage in my opinion is locking them firm on your back with no gap at all and the easiest way to do this is by locking your biceps waay up under their armpits instead of on the arm. if you enter with good kuzushi, fast and a good base like you have and a tight, deep lock under the arm pits then its cake!

Thanks! :)

also!! have you ever tried lappel grip for ippon seioi nage. its my favorite grip. if youre doing a right side throw, grip their right lapel with your left hand. pull upwards with your wrist for kuzushi then go in low, back straight and a deep lock =)

Thankyou for your advise! I'm currently working on ippon seoi and getting a lot of tips from great people so my ippon is better than this video now :)

youve got good form! but try to break your opponents grip more often!
i literally just had my first judo class today. any helpful websites or books you know of? im not a total newcomer though! ive got a black belt in tkd and am a very physical learner. meaning i learn forms and techniques very quickly! i have also learned a lot from watching the UFC and online videos, so i am more experienced than the average joe, and in class i did a pretty good job against an experienced wrestler!

Thanks for the advice! Here is a little tip for you. You need "kuzushi"(meaning make your opponent off balance)before you do any of the throw for it to be effective. That's what I'm working on it:)

Me and Chris did the warmups and Derick ran the class. I hope your family member is okay.
