Show Information

Air Date: November 22, 2011

Host: Jim Schneider

Jim began this edition of Crosstalk with word that S.598, which carries the deceptive title, Respect for Marriage Act (An attempt to repeal the Defense of Marriage Act or D.O.M.A.), could be voted on by the Senate before Thanksgiving or immediately after the holiday. It could be offered as an amendment to the Defense Authorization Bill. Jim encouraged listeners to call their senators in regard to this pending legislation at 202-224-3121.

Jim noted that as of broadcast time, the U.S. debt was over 15 trillion dollars. This means the debt per citizen in the U.S. is 48,090 dollars. In response, Washington legislators formed a "super" committee to see what could be done in regard to a debt and deficit reduction plan that would cut 1.2 trillion from the budget. They have admittedly failed and now the blame game has started across party lines.

In light of our current deficit amount and the fact that our highest tax rate is at 35% of income, it's certainly a travesty when our leaders can't agree to cut 1.2 trillion from the budget over the next ten years. Everyone from the legislative participants to the unions have weighed in on this and so did Crosstalk listeners. Get the details when you join Jim Schneider for this critical broadcast that looks at the state of the American economy.

yeah, ok thats facinating and all but can u please address my comment? all the personal attacks are just a stalling tactic to avoid owning up to the brutal murder your god ordered all throughout the bible and the sickening/unjust lake of fire he sends ppl who dont stroke his royal ego. stop evading the points i made or stfu. thanx a bunch!!! :)

  • @loudowsonjr The Lord who is The True And Everlasting Creator, has warned all people, everywhere, That He is and that He rewards all who seek Him, with all their hearts, but for those who love to rebel he has made a place for them as well. Tell me Keenanville09, do you like people being raped and murdered? Do you watch others when they are hurting, and do nothing, to help them? Are you just angry because The Lord put you in a place where you could have done something, to help?

  • @loudowsonjr Evil can also be in your place of worship, because you hate justice, and love your sins. There is also no place for anything Holly, in your heaven. Love is not ever welcome as it would look after those who would cry out for truth, would be cast aside, in your heaven. I hope your power is more then enough to keep you in your blind bliss.

  • @Keenanville09 You say that you rule your world, by using words, like DE-conversion. What power you must think you own! Did you also create the world you live in, and all the laws, that keep it in order. Are you the Lord and Master. Do all your plans go as you have planned. Your so full of yourself. No wonder, there is no room for any god, unless it is a very small-god, with no real power, or any wisdom. You want to go to your heaven, where anyone may enter.

  • @loudowsonjr

i used to be a fundamentalist christian until rather recently and it was the issue of hell and the murderous verses of the old testiment that largely contributed to my de-conversion. i am not interested in a debate either, i seriously want to know. ive asked numerous pastors and teachers etc and all they ever say is "that's old testiment" or "just have faith". i would like an honest answer that isnt a cop out. i am not interested in answers that beat around the bush. :)

  • @loudowsonjr shots at somethings that are to big to miss, but are hated by fools who love their own wisdom. So you tell me, why your asking , and I will do my best to explain why I think hell is a great place for those who love falsehood, and are backstabbing cowards. Do you really want them in your place of bliss? If so more power to you!

  • @Keenanville09 I understand your asking these question. I will explain in full if your real about wanting to know, what I think and why I think it. I won't waist my time in so stupid debate. If that's all your about. You win, cause I'm not in this to get anything from you! I'm not on a ego trip, and i sure won't play like I'm a pope. Lots of question, but what behind the asking. Is it to really find out, or just a cowards way of taking

  • @loudowsonjr

do u know why ingrid never hosts anymore? its like jim and vic do every show now.

  • Ronald Reagan said: “The nine most terrifying words in the English language are, I'm from the government and I'm here to help.”

  • @CrosstalkAmerica please do an episode disscussing the following. 1) the topic of hell. does EVERYONE whose not specifically a born again christian go there? if there are exceptions to this, to whom do these apply and why. if there arent any exceptions, is it fair that ppl who never heard the gospel go to hell? 2) passages such as numbers 31:7-18 and leviticus 20:13. i know this is old testiment so it "doesnt count" or something but how were these passeges ever a good thing? thnx :)
