  • I got my resignation confirmation through on October 14th 2011, and I've not even scratched the surface of discovering who I actually am. Even when I had been less active, except for getting tattoos and leading a non church life, I still never tried to figure that most important question out. Mormonism has a lot to answer for, and it's heart breaking when you see some decent people still being fooled by it.

Thank you for sharing your journey!!!

  • I too, left the LDS church after 54 years and have no regrets. I have found the God I never new, the one in the Bible, "A God of Spirit." It's been a year and they still have not removed my name from their member list, as I have often requested. I still get home teachings through the mail. It seems that once you join they won't let you go. I guess it's to keep their member count high.

  • Thanks so much Anita. This story resonates with me and is very similar to my story. Thanks for sharing. I love your storybook! That's a great way to tell your story and to read it and post it here is also a great idea. Your voice is soothing.

  • This is amazing. Great presentation and Congrats.

  • Good, but typical story.

From what I have seen, and read, most LDS members stay in the " church " until they find out for themselves they have been lied to.

Missionary's, thru no fault of themselves, as they are brainwashed from childhood, share the LDS gospel with others, but share a false gospel.

Smith was a liar, the LDS church is a big lie, and the word of men is also false.

  • This is beautiful and really touching. Thank you for sharing your story. I know you will touch the lives of many by doing so.

I think the scrapbooking/self-reflective style of the video will be relatable with so many lds women. I like that your story shows that it was the truth you learned about the church that caused you to leave and not the typical lds rumors of sin, etc. May God Bless you in your journey for the truth, having courage, and living a full life!

  • I love that phrase!! "It's my heritage NOT my beliefs!!"

  • You can now resign by EMAIL. It's FREE and QUICK!

  • Thank you for this. It is a great feeling knowing that others have gone through what I have.
