King Kong (Skull Island) - Nature_1 / Yes Please

I've considered making a music video for 'King Kong' for so long now, and now that I have the Extended Edition, I'm able to include scenes from that. I always wondered what kind of song I'd use with the film. I decided on 'Nature_1' and parts of 'Yes Please' in the end, both of which are on the 'Hullabaloo' album by Muse. This video consists entirely of footage during the visit to Skull Island.

Unlike a few of my other recent music videos, this one was improvised meaning I picked shot after shot rather than planning which parts would go where. This isn't the best way but since I used the Extended Edition which is about 3 and a half hours, I thought it would waste far too much time cutting the scenes I wanted before making a start.

Movie Maker was the biggest pain on this one. I'm a little disappointed with the way certain sequences turned out, but overall I don't think it's anything major. I also wished I could have included Lumpy's head consumption, but it just didn't fit. :D

Yeah. Don't you find it kinda weird? A giant ape. Dinosaurs. Giant bugs. Penises with teeth. Climbing the Empire State Building.

I prefer the original - as with every other thing. Star Trek Original Series is the best, because ideas were fresh.

Anyway, the original and 1976 too were weird. All of it, when you think about it, is quite disturbing, really.[shudders about those penises with teeth]

An awesome movie ! I've watched it at least 5 times. I really like the skull island artwork as well.

what;s so weird about the film? they've taken an old idea and updated it, only this time instead of a monster there's a very big animal, which reacts in a typical animalistic way, of course they left in the dinosaurs for all the original fans.

after seeing both films i vote in favor of the remake, although it could've been a bit shorter!
