Offshore welding for $33.00 an hour!
I'm making $37.86 on land 20 min. from home at my Union job and my family and I love it!
I love the competitive atmosphere, I love the Company I work for and my boss is a great person to work for!

I have been , in times past, with two different boiler maker unions, and they are all: MOM AND POP ORGANIZATIONS. If you are not related to someone, and they send you out on a job, and most of the workers you are working with are cousins and uncles and such, believe me, if they see that your welding is superior to theirs, they will send you in. DON'T FOOL WITH A UNION TO LEARN HOW TO WELD. Go to a Jr. College, or have a friend teach you, NEVER A UNION.

Yes you do wear a helmet, however with multiple welders all around you, the arc light comes from all around you- Up, down and all around- when you are in a work environment like that. Not when you are welding alone. You just can't bock out all of the ultra-violet rays.
