  • low ange of flute = eargasmic!

10 yrs ago, I felt the same that Robinson's interpretation was more elegant, like singing and emotional. However, 10 years later, when I played this piece again, I felt that Sir Galway played Carmen with the interpretation of the " flute tone", which is also impressive. I would say they are totally different, but I really love both. :-)

  • does anyone knows where i can find the piano part???

  • His flute came sooo...close to the music stand at times... Almost hitting it. Do professionals get concerned if their instrument hit something lightly and get a scratch? Or am I just over-protecting mine?

  • @mrbean12312 It's the same principle no matter what instrument you play. To play so virtuosically on whatever you put your hands to is going to take yearsssssssss.

  • I met him once when he was at a convention for flute. He's really short. You'd never expect that :) Him and his wife are are so adorable.

  • @RuneBeast324 Yes he's one of my favourites! I don't know why people keep arguing about this so much and can't accept the different tastes of people. Anyways, in my opinion Galway managed to make flute much more popular, so did Jean-Pierre Rampal. But the way I see it, Pahud has a better tone and feeling.. ;)

  • If you learn flute, you would understand how difficult it is to reach that kind of standard, love his playing!

  • That was three months ago when I was listening to a frayed recording of Pahud's preformance. I found another video of him, and he sounds very nice. I actually now respect and enjoy his playing.
