I am worried about him. He has essentially told the American government that when the lease on the airforce base comes due in 2009 that it will not be renewed. Period. Of course this is the correct decision. The Americans should leave, just as they should leave Guanatanamo Bay. If they feel they need to be in the region, let them get established in Puerto Rico, after all. Correa is very brave, very smart, and of course this is a dangerous combination when dealing with the USA. I pray for him.
