Mayor Cory Booker speaks at a press conference discussing efforts being made to reduce crime in Newark. The Booker Administration in the last 3 years has more than doubled the police force on the streets and recently added more than 700 new cameras to the City's camera system as part of a larger goal to achieve the greatest reduction of crime in the country. Speakers include Essex County Prosecutor, Paula T. Dow; President and CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Essex, Carlos Lejnieks; and Executive Director of Stop Shooting Inc., Yusef Ismail.

  • the criminals include Gov Chris Christie, NJ AG Paula Dow, Esq, the Newark municipal court, the FBI, Office of Administrative Law, Office of NJ Attorney General Department of Consumer Affairs, Board of Engineers, Board of Professional Planners all in Newark and the U.S. Attorney Office in Newark. See proof beyond

any reasonable doubt of the treachery, conspiracy, official misconduct and criminal conspiracy of all by thomas caggiano

  • "Point the finger at those who are involved in these crimes", Essex County prosecutor PAULA T. DOW encourages. Well, if we're talking about the crime of false witness & cryptic, evil, secret society attempts to steal a nearly middle aged man's life and identity, then I'm more than happy to help. PAULA T. Dow could remind of comedian WANDA SYKES, who was born March 7, 1964 in PORTSMOUTH, VA. The date 3/7 mirrors the number 37, reminding that people born in Dec. 1971 were 37 years old in AUG. 2009

  • i would like to metor a child but the told me i had a record what can i do.

  • of course, not all at the same time and not all summer. but for a week or 2, lets show them hope and skills they can use in life. if u notice, most of the crime commited in the summer is by young people w/ nothing to do. lets help fill that void. thanks!

  • instead of letting them go into the system. lets help them out! we should have a kind of mandatory camp for kids in school in the summertime. i know we have the fresh air fund but, that's not enough. lets do that on a grander scale! the fresh air fund is usually corolated to the back of the county section of the star ledger. lets get it on a national level and start now, so that by next summer, almost all of our kids can go to camp and see what its like outside the city.

  • most of our young people in newark are being raised by single parents and most of them can't be around to watch them due to work and other constraints of life. alot of the single parents arent even really parents anyway. the play the role, and play it sometimes even better than the real parents but, alot of them are grandparents who should be relaxing in their later years and now, cause of circumstances they have no control over, stepped up to the plate and are taking care of their grandkids,

  • thanks for tweeting me this video and i didn't even know u had a youtube channel i could subscribe to. anyway, why the press conferences after the fact? why not b4 something happens? i am born/raised in newark. i belong to a positive community/family oriented club in newark and the thing we find out is needed most, is a mentor and/or something to do when there is no school or after school/weekends/summers/vacations.

  • Great to be with you today to show support to our brother in Christ. As always our prayers are with you Mr. Mayor.

  • I used to live in Newark... I've visited a few times and I must say, it looks TEN TIMES better than what I left... I know the bloods and crips and taking over and but hopefully people will wake up and realize that these gangs are doing nothing but killing each other and enslaving our youths, preventing them from reaching their potential. Anyways, I must say things do look a lot better for Newark...

  • You're doing awesome work in NJ Mr. Mayor. U set a great example for all those men you lead. I also like the way your head shines under those Press lights, its almost like an offset Halo, very bling-bling! Lov it!
