Same thing happened to me with my G35. I said screw it and bought brand new OEM projectors. :D Get the 07+ projectors for the Z. They are sick. Pretty decent cutoff compared to the G as well.

hahah i did that too to mine headlights.
well strart with 1000 use plenty water go up the grain 2000 3000 and fine 4000.
than you need drill with balfer attetchment and plastic polish.
will look like a brand new headlights
